The following textbook, of which Dr. Gabrielli was an author, received the 2008 James W. Brown Publication Award, the premier book award presented by the Association for Educational Communications and Technology. In 2007 the book received the Outstanding Human Performance Communication Award from the International Society for Performance Improvement (ISPI):

Dr. Gabrielle Gabrielli left her position as project manager for the $6.2 million Department of Homeland Security project to train port security personnel around the nation. The project was funded through Florida State University's Learning Systems Institute. Gabrielle helped form collaborations with the Ports of Seattle, Tacoma, New York/ New Jersey, Fort Lauderdale, Palm Beach, Jacksonville, Canaveral, Houston, Long Beach, Los Angeles, San Diego, and Charleston, as well as Federal Law Enforcement Training Centers in Charleston and Glynco. Dr. Gabrielli enjoyed her work on the project, but knew that she could be more effective by returning to her consulting work. She now enjoys a thriving business that helps other individuals and businesses.
   
  Before Dr. Gabrielli began her consulting business, she was making the news in various management positions:
United States Military Academy- Associate Director, Center for Teaching Excellence and Professor, Computer Sciences.  Worked with faculty to integrate technologies to enhance learning.  Researched the effects of technology-mediated instructional strategies on motivation, performance, and self-directed learning.
   
Center for National Security Training and Research, Project Manager, $6.2 million Department of Homeland Security project to train port security personnel around the nation via distance learning and face-to-face instruction.
   
Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services- Head of Training and Development.  Brought online learning to the agency for the first time in its history and conducted comprehensive quantitative and qualitative data analysis of its implementation.  Integrated a variety of new technologies including the SmartBoard to training events.  Organized and hosted all new employees in a comprehensive 3-day New Employee Orientation.
   
Justice Distance Learning Consortium- Instructional Technologies Administrator/ Project Manager with Florida Department of Corrections.  Worked with Texas, New York, and Florida on the $10 million STAR Schools grant to bring educational opportunities to incarcerated youth and their teachers, primarily through distance learning.  Also worked with the webmaster on various design and content issues with the website and helped create online tour developed by Illuminactive using Macromedia's Shockwave Flash. Met with ITAs from Texas and New York regularly to develop distance learning and other training opportunities.  Developed concept of a Teacher Institute to teach teachers how to integrate technology into their curricula.
   
Channel 47- Operations and Program Manager.  Started the station from the ground up.  Carried ideas to completion including having FSU meteorology students forecast the weather, communication students broadcast the news, distance learning opportunities, etc.  Carried gavel-to-gavel coverage of the 1996 legislative session in what became the Florida Channel.  Created the station website. and the liaison with PBS Adult Learning services. Frequently participated in was public speaking events for the channel.
   
Florida Department of Corrections- Video Producer/Director. Produced and Directed an award-winning documentary on the history of corrections in Florida which is still airing on public television stations.
